About
Hi, I'm Nova Sparks Cosplay. I am a fire enthusiast and a magical girl aficionado. I fell in love with cosplaying after putting together a Poison Ivy costume for a Relay for Life event in 2014. After moving to Colorado in 2016, I picked up cosplaying and has made many great friends in the cosplay community since.

Cosplay has become my main hobby and taken over my life. Not that I'm complaining, I absolutely adore it! I've learned so many new skills, and have improved on others. Sewing is my strongest skill, but I also have experience working with EVA foam, Worbla, resin, and wigs. My favorite cosplays I have made are Rose Tyler, Burlseque Sailor Neptune (Based on art by NoFlutter), and Pyrrha 3.0 (based on art by Dishwasher 1910).
I has won a few awards in her cosplay career. My most notable was audience choice with J’adore Cosplay at Colorado Anime Fest in 2018 as Nui Harime and Ryuko Matiu. In 2020, I won second place in the intermediate category on Colorado Anime Fest’s online cosplay contest. I was also part of the winning team of the Iron Cosplay Challenge at Project Cosplay in 2017. At the same convention, I got third place in an OC contest based on her story and cosplay.
I decided to start this blog because there is always something I am working on that I can't find references or advice. I figure there's others who are struggling with the same issues and I want to help them out! I hope you find this entertaining and learn a thing or two along the way. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to reach out!
